Today, we are excited to announce our partnership with Cropler, the pioneer in agri-camera technology and 24/7 plant-based digital agronomical assistance, to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of agricultural practices worldwide.
Our Global FieldID service, which establishes a geospatial reference framework for the agricultural industry, will be integrated into Cropler’s innovative monitoring system. This integration aims to accelerate field mapping and facilitate the digitization, monitoring, and precise prediction of crop performance across the agricultural value chain. By incorporating Global FieldID into Cropler’s mapping system, Cropler will enhance the field boundaries shown on the map and make its crop monitoring system more accurate.
Cropler, the company building the world-first agri-camera designed for real-time remote plant monitoring, is on the brink of scaling its technology to fully embody an AI-powered digital agronomical assistant. Using plants as a primary data source, Cropler assists farmers and agronomists in identifying key phenophases, optimizing crop yields, and executing timely agricultural operations. The platform reduces scouting costs by 50% through real-time plant-driven data. It monitors the most problematic high-stakes field spots: detecting pests, weeds and more.
The integration of Global FieldID will be implemented within Cropler’s mapping tools to enhance the accuracy of field boundaries displayed on the maps, thereby refining Cropler’s monitoring capabilities. This collaboration promises up to 25% increased efficacy of crop chemicals due to timely and environmentally responsible usage, as well as up to 15% improved crop quality through optimal harvest sequences with minimal ecological impact. Additionally, Cropler's technology boosts yield harvesting by 20%, significantly reducing CO2 emissions per ton of production. By providing global analytics, Cropler can better contribute to building sustainable supply chains.
Nikita Bedunkevich, CEO at Cropler, commented: ‘’Clearly defined field boundaries go hand in hand with the precise application of fertilizers, chemicals, and irrigation, positively affecting both yield health and profits. We believe that this partnership with Varda’s Global FieldID will allow us to improve the quality of our virtual satellite-powered scouting and provide even better crop photo monitoring. It's a fantastic step toward more sustainable agriculture and we are over the moon to take it together with Varda."
Davide Ceper, CEO at Varda, commented: “Data discovery and sharing across the agri-food industry are major hurdles hampering collaboration towards a nature-positive food system. We are proud to support a leading innovator like Cropler, helping to sharpen its field monitoring capabilities and make activities more easily visible through the supply chain. We look forward to driving sustainable change together.”
